Lindsay Adler starts her shoots by coming up with a core concept - a story. The particular story that Lindsay is telling through this shoot is of a woman named Carol, who just left a club and caught her reflection in the mirror, surrounded by neon lights and the rainy weather.
This video shows the processes and techniques Lindsay alder goes through, this specific one shows the poses she gets the model to hold which help define the models features and help them look their pest. In this image pink and cyan coloured lights, along with a white light is used to help highlight and contrast certain parts of the face. |
I chose this image because it didn't really need much editing since it was already sharp, clear and colourful, vibrant and gave off the atmosphere I intended it to during my shoot. this photo came out almost exactly as I envisioned it would. The techniques I used during the shoot were to alter my camera setting to get a better result, which worked, in my opinion.

I chose this image because it didn't need much editing either, since it was already sharp, clear, colourful, vibrant and, like the previous image gave off the atmosphere I intended it to during the shoot. I also really like the pose, it being less basic in my opinion and also how the light is angled on his face, still however having an even balance between the pink and the blue. The techniques I used during the shoot were to alter my camera settings to get a better result, which worked in my opinion.

I chose this image because it didn't need much editing, similar to the previous images, this is because it was already sharp, clear, colourful, vibrant and gave off the exact atmosphere I envisioned before the shoot. I also like the pose as it isn't basic or boring in my opinion. The way the lights are angled on her face is also quite interesting and aesthetically pleasing, still with an even balance between the pink and the blue. The techniques I used during the shoot were to alter my camera settings to get a better result, which, in my opinion, worked well.

I chose this quote because she shows how she enjoys how something of value that ca also hold a lot of pressure over a person can be shredded and made into something beautiful - confetti. This is, to me, a very artistic way to view something like money and gives an insight into how she sees the world as a whole. Why this video? I chose this video because it shows a clear representation of her work and how she explains it and how she does it in terms of technique and skills needed to create her work. |
